ABC Networks recommended Buzzco Associates to create animation for Jane Paley and Larry Price's Money Made Easy: The ABC Kids' Guide to Dollars and Sense. Buzzco created a married couple who exist though the ages-- from the Stone Age to modern times-- as the glue for their documentary explaining the history of money, banking, and trade.
When Jane contacted us, she wanted the couple to remind us of the B.C. characters created by Johnny Hart. Although we couldn't contact him, we did get in touch with New Yorker cartoonist Arnie Levin. Arnie was actually an old friend of Vinny's and I knew Pam, his wife, from my early days at Perpetual. But more significantly, his style would work very well for this project!
