Newton's 3 Laws, With a Bicycle

Newton’s 3 Laws, With a Bicycle was our second short film for TED’s new educational initiative, TED-Ed: Lessons Worth Sharing, an open platform dedicated to providing high school and college teachers a new way to use video content on the web: a way of “flipping” web video into a basis for their own lessons along with context, follow-up questions and further resources.

With a complicated idea about inertia and how to explain friction, I thought a simple chalk line would be best and I was inspired by New Yorker cartoonists like Robert Weber.

So overcome your inertia and click on the movie—it’ll keep on going until it stops. And its action will leave you with a positive reaction!
