From time to time Buzzco gets asked to create internal films for large companies to explain benefits packages or sales techniques. Traditionally this is a lower budget item, but we have found ways to make them enjoyable and fun (sort of adult educational films!). For NexView, a software company, we did a 3-minute sales film called The Further Adventures of Mr. Bird, a neon-on black musical extravaganza.
This was another project we got because of A Warm Reception in L.A. Nik Ives, creative director at Kurnit Advertising, needed an eye-catching video for a software show in Las Vegas. His client, Windjammer Software, was tiny compared to Silicon Valley and wanted to gather an audience to show off their product. And Nik created a music track with old standards-- including Frank Sinatra.
It worked! They got a crowd! And the guys in the neighboring booth were heard to complain, "Get rid of that damn bird!" And Nik was pleased that Sinatra wasn't around to hear them pirating his song...
Again-- long ago and no credits around. I remember Nik Ives being very involved from a small agency, Kurnit Advertising. I designed the picture, and Vinny animated it. I believe that Anne Barrett was around to help with the painting. And, of course, Marilyn Kraemer produced.
