WNET: Great Performances Logo

This was another piece I animated for Perpetual Motion Pictures. I believe we were in the middle of one of the holiday TV specials and Perpetual was awarded this 15 second piece. I was available to animate it, and it was the first time it struck me why I became an animator and not an actor. I absolutely knew how the ballerina should execute her pirouette (and I had no reference material-- no one shot it for me)-- I had taken ballet lessons as a little girl.  I knew where her toes would go, how the knee went-- I knew all that, but for the life of me, I could never have done it myself-- my drawing could!
