When Mary Keeney from the Connecticut Academy for Education saw Discover Science and the work Buzzco had done for the National Science Foundation, she had us create their Learning Doesn't Take A Vacation! campaign. The Academy noticed that students lose much of what they learn during the school year over summer vacation, and it takes over a month to catch up. They developed programs to keep kids engaged in a fun way while on break.
This was a great project and it came out of the blue! Just as the National Science Foundation asked us to create a jingle and a TV ad for Discover Science, The Connecticut Academy wanted us to engage Lanny Meyers again and create a spot using neon colors over black. Given the Caribbean tone of the music, the images needed to match!
