When Daniel S. Stein, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. started his search for a celebrity spokesperson for his new all-natural nutritional supplement for women, he came upon Betty Boop. With her boundless energy, delightful “pep” and wink-wink sexuality, she completely embodied the qualities of his product, Dan-E (Day and Night energy for women).
When the Fleischer Estate and King Features agreed to license Ms. Boop, they recommended Buzzco as their animation house of choice, with Vincent Cafarelli to animate. Vince started his animation career at Famous Studios, the offspring of the Fleischer Studios and worked with some of the greats of that era.
Buzzco, with the help of longtime composer collaborator, Lanny Meyers, created a jingle for Dan-E and brought in Neil Brownlee of Avalanche Creative Services (experts in direct marketing) to write the copy.
The result is a wonderful direct marketing 2-minute ad, that should help women perk up and LIVE LIFE to its fullest!
It may have been King Features that got Buzzco the job, but I believe that this is the "yin" for Horny Goat Weed's "yang". About a decade apart, they come to libido energy from both sides!
